GC2 board

GC2 is a front-coated cartonboard with a cream back. The board is made from bleached new wood fibres, resulting in a bright white appearance.

The GC2 board supplied by IPP is known for its high thickness and stiffness ratio and good folding properties that make it applicable for a variety of packaging. The high degree of whiteness guarantees good printing results, which makes GC2 grades suitable for packaging that must have a premium appearance – especially on the outside.

This grade is also often used for extrusion with PE or a dispersion coating to create a higher moisture/grease barrier. The base board is then usually produced with hard sizing in the board layers.
