MetsäBoard Prime FBB Bright
A coated cartonboard with wood-grind interlayer and white lightly coated backing. MetsäBoard Prime FBB Bright has high stiffness and thickness, and high whiteness. The GC1 board is food grade, with a wide range of applications and is available in both rolls and sheets.
MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright (possibly with PE)
A coated cartonboard with wood-grain interlayer and uncoated cream/white backing. MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright has high stiffness and thickness, and high whiteness and gloss. The GC2 board is suitable for a wide range of applications and is available in both rolls and sheets.
MetsäBoard Classic FBB (possibly with PE)
A coated GC2 cartonboard with wood-grind interlayer and cream uncoated backing. MetsäBoard Classic FBB is a lightweight product with excellent strength, thickness and rigidity. The GC2 board is food grade and is hard sized as standard, making it also suitable for the freezer. MetsäBoard Classic FBB can be used for a wide range of applications, it is also widely used as a base board for PE coated board.
MetsäBoard Pro FBB OBA Free
A coated OBA free GC2 cartonboard with wood-peel interlayer and cream uncoated backing. MetsäBoard Pro FBB OBA Free is made without fluorochemicals and optical brighteners (OBA), making it suitable for direct food contact. It is hard sized as standard, making it suitable for the freezer and usable for a wide range of applications such as food, beverage, healthcare and fast food.
MetsäBoard Natural FBB (possibly with PE)
An uncoated OBA cartonboard with a natural appearance. MetsäBoard Natural FBB is a UC2 paperboard with wood-grain interlayer and uncoated front and back. MetsäBoard Natural FBB is standard hard sized and therefore also suitable for the freezer. Despite not having a clay coating, it is well printable in offset and flexo printing. It can be used for a wide range of applications such as (chilled) food, healthcare and fast food, but also for cosmetics packaging due to its natural “feel and touch”. OBA-free board is approved for direct food contact.
MetsäBoard Natural FSB Cup / Pro FSB Cup (possibly with PE )
An uncoated or coated foodservice (CUP) board, suitable for offset and flexo printing. On the extrusion line, MetsäBoard Natural FSB Cup and MetsäBoard Pro FSB Cup can be PE-coated or other barrier coated on one or both sides.
MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB
A dispersion-coated barrier board with a medium barrier to grease and moisture. MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB is biodegradable. It can be composted or recycled both industrially and at home. For some applications, this grade is used as an alternative to cardboard with a plastic barrier. It is made without fluorochemicals and optical brighteners (OBA), making it suitable for direct food contact.
MetsäBoard Prime WKL Bright
A bleached and uncoated white liner. MetsäBoard Prime WKL Bright particularly suitable for small and lightweight packaging. The whiteness suits products that are clean, pure and hygienic. The uncoated surface gives a matte appearance and excellent printing results. MetsäBoard Prime WKL Bright is also used as a liner for corrugated board.
