Paper and board from virgin fibers
Klabin is the largest, most sustainable producer and exporter of packaging materials in Brazil. In addition to liners for the corrugated board industry, IPP carries Klabin’s kraft cartons. We supply these folding carton grades directly from the factory or cut to size from our cutting center in The Netherlands.
Containerboard
Klaliner
Klaliner is a standard unbleached kraft liner. The paper, with a natural kraft color, is made from 100% pine and eucalyptus fibers. Klaliner’s fiber blend makes it a product with great strength, excellent stability and performance in corrugators and printing.
Eukaliner®
Eukaliner is a High Performance Kraftliner, made exclusively from Eucalyptus fiber, that combines excellent properties and steam savings for corrugators in one product. IPP offers Eukaliner White (white top kraftliner) and Eukaliner 8K coated (white top coated kraftliner) in addition to the unbleached variant.
Cartonboard
Klafold®
A kraft board with coated front and brown kraft backing. Klafold has excellent stiffness and print quality and can also be provided with a moisture- or grease-resistant coating. Because this coating is applied off-line to the cardboard, it can be applied to both the front and back of the cardboard.
Klamulti®
A carrier board with coated front and brown kraft backing. Klamulti has high tear resistance, making it well suited for beverage cartons and multipacks.
Klacup® natural kraft
A coated cupboard with a brown kraft backing, specially developed for the bowls and papercup market. IPP can also provide Klacup with a PE or other barrier coating.
About Klabin
Klabin has been around for more than 125 years and currently has 22 mills in Brazil and one in Argentina. In 2023, Klabin completed the second phase of the Puma II project, which included the construction of six pulp lines, a paper machine and a paperboard machine. The paperboard machine – the PM28 – increases production capacity by an additional 460,000 tons of virgin fiber annually to 1.3 mln tons of kraft paperboard. The PM27, the paper machine, manufactures 450,000 tons of Eukaliner® annually.
Klabin has a high standard in sustainability. They own 719,000 hectares of forest, 42% of which is protected native forest land and 356,000 hectares of responsible plantation land. The factories run more than 90% on energy from renewable sources, they still reduce water consumption every year and are actively reducing CO2 emissions.
