Sustainable
packaging
Within our network, we are always looking for sustainable materials to offer environmentally conscious alternatives for packaging and labels. And this starts at the source. IPP holds both FSC® and PEFC certification.
FSC®
To encourage responsible forest management and contribute to the protection of our natural environment, IPP is FSC® certified in three countries. Our range includes FSC®-certified paper and cardboard products, which contribute to conscious and sustainable material choices.
PEFC
Since 8 May 2023, IPP Packaging Materials Netherlands has been PEFC certified. PEFC also monitors responsible and sustainable forest management. It protects vulnerable forest areas and forests with high natural value. It also ensures that logging, where permitted, is carried out under strict supervision with a focus on forest conservation, biodiversity and the forest’s ability to regenerate. For every tree harvested, a new tree is planted.
PEFC operates at national level with locally organised expertise, ownership and involvement. PEFC works with a Chain of Custody. This is a system that can trace the origin of a product throughout the entire production process, right back to the raw material (the tree). Now that IPP carries the label, the chain remains intact for the PEFC-certified materials we trade.
