Magnera is a renowned company in the field of thin yet strong papers for niche markets, such as filter paper for tea and coffee products. In addition, the mill is strong in nonwovens for automotive, hygiene and medical industries. Magnera also produces metallized paper for beer bottles, among others.
Magnera produces paper starting at 8.5 g/m² and provides the thinnest base paper for tapes for the automotive industry and medical applications. IPP represents the products formerly from Glatfelter in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Magnera, specialist in non-woven with 46 production sites around the world, acquired Glatfelter in 2024. Glatfelter is/was a household name in the market with its over 155 years of experience and multiple plants in Germany, France and England. Despite the takeover by Magnera, their paper knowledge and product development for new applications is not lost. In doing so, they responsibly use materials such as cellulose and abaca fibers and focus on waste reduction, among other things.
